Moran Norris

Moran Norris is a proud native Houstonian and a product of Houston’s Montgomery Elementary, Dowling Middle, and Madison High schools. He began playing football at six years old and continued throughout high school. Moran earned a full athletic scholarship to attend the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kan., where he graduated with dual degrees in Communication Studies and Crime & Delinquency.

Moran was selected in the fourth round (115th overall) of the 2001 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints. He played 11 seasons in the NFL with the Saints, Houston Texans, Detroit Lions and San Francisco 49ers. He played in 140 career games with 58 starts.

In his free time, Moran is an avid volunteer and supporter of Houston-area communities. Some of his community and charity affiliations include Big Brothers Big Sisters and United Way.

In 2005, Moran launched the Moran Norris Foundation to help youth succeed and overcome adversity through education and character. His goal is to motivate and inspire each kid that he encounters to show them that success is within their reach.
