Bobby Birhiray is a first generation Nigerian, born in Houston, TX.  Bobby attended Roberts Elementary, St. Anne’s, St. Peters the Apostle and Westbury Senior High. After high school graduation, Bobby attended the University of Kansas, where he was teammates with Moran Norris from 1999-2001.  Bobby played on the 2003-2004 Tangerine Bowl team, the same team that ended KU’s 10-year postseason drought.

In 2004, Bobby graduated with a degree in Sociology, and in 2007 he earned his Human Biology degree. From 2005-2009, Bobby had a short pro football career where he played arena football for Wichita and Topeka, KS. In 2012, Bobby finished a Post-Baccalaureate at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Hematology and Clinical Chemistry. He is currently a member of the University of Kansas Alumni Association Houston Chapter and K Club. He serves as the social media chair for the University of Kansas Alumni Association Houston Chapter.

Bobby has always been involved in the community, from volunteering and working for the Boys & Girls Club in Lawrence, KS, to the VIPS program at Paul Revere Middle School in Houston, TX.

“I believe in serving the community that has given so much to me,” he said.

Bobby currently works as a licensed American Society of Clinical Pathology, Medical Technologist at Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center.
